Sondes For Hire

A sonde is used to locate the route of buried ducting or drainage pipes. The sonde itself is a self-contained transmitter that is used in combination with our cable locators. Sondes are typically attached to drain rods or a cobra reel, pushed along the pipe, and the position of the Sonde is detected from above ground by using a Cable Avoidance Tool.

Specifications – 38mm (1.5″) diameter x 105mm (4.1″) long, 33 kHz, range 15ft (5m). Uses 1 x AA battery.
