The general purpose wacker plate is used for compacting most aggregates and materials up to 50mm diameter, very useful on any building site-why buy one when you can hire a wacca for such little money and get the job done properly.

One of our most popular hire items, the Bomag 8/34 plate compactor weighs 53kg, has a 340mm wide plate. Used to compact sand and granular materials, over site and surface prep prior to laying slabs it is very simple to use and the handles fold over enough to allow you to transport these machines in a hatchback or estate car. We can also provide a rubber mat for compacting more delicate materials.

These plate compactors are optimally suited for a variety of compaction applications thanks to their high speed and simple manoeuvrability. Used on larger rubble and hardcore sub bases, shed bases and such like, the largest compactor plates we offer have the highest compaction force.
