Guide on Hiring Heating Equipment
A useful guide on Heating Equipment Hire and which heater is best for your situation
Hire Convector Heaters
2kw 240v electric heater used for heating offices, building site cabins, a room within the home etc. Providing instant heat and has an internal thermostat to gently top up the heat for a constant temperature. Available to hire or purchase
Hire Infra-red Heaters
3kw 240v or 110v electric heater used mainly on building sites to dry walls after plastering. Infra-red heaters heat the item rather than the air, if you stand in front of the heater the heat can be instantly felt so if you face it to a wall after plastering the heat is transferred to the wall.
Hire Space heaters
LPG direct fired space heater – these heaters consist of a tubular chamber with an electric fan (110v/240v) and a combustion ring which burns LPG. The fan forces the hot air out of the tube quickly heating up large areas.
Direct fired refers to the combustion, this is evident if you look at the heater in operation, you’ll see flames being blown inside the tube.
Hire LPG indirect space heater
These heaters are similar to direct fired but the combustion is within a sealed tube. The electric (110v/240v) fan forces air over the sealed combustion tube and transfers the heat from the tube to the atmosphere. Less efficient than a direct fired heater but safer in operation due to no naked flame.
Hire Diesel indirect heater
Direct fired diesel/paraffin heater, just like the LPG version these heaters consist of a tubular chamber with an electric fan (110v/240v) and a combustion ring which burns diesel or paraffin. The fan forces the hot air out of the tube quickly heating up large areas.
Direct fired refers to the combustion, this is evident if you look at the heater in operation, you’ll see flames being blown inside the tube.
Hire Patio heater
Provide heat for your guests at outdoor functions, powered by LPG these heaters provide up to 13kw of heat which is reflected down by the large shroud fitted to the heater. Flame failure device is fitted should the heater get knocked over during operation. Will run for many hours on a 13kg cylinder.
